@ProTottenham I can see Spurs exploring alternative options before deciding on Paulina. If for example, we would get Wharton, we would see him as a better deal, short and long term. However I have also said I can see us looking at another loan, which might not suit Paulinha.
In many ways Savinho’s stats look underwhelming, but so do many Man City squad players. Also as superb a manager Pep is, he can often stifle a free spirit player and many great players can struggle or at least seem to be inhibited in his system.
Davies resigning is an interesting decision for both club and player. You imagine he won’t play often, which makes it almost a career ending move. At 33, is this a first step into coaching as much as anything?
@Spursology_ Many fans will opt for Scott for his Spurs allegiance as much as anything, but I’m a Huge fan of Wharton. Anderson is now way above our target range.
@LilywhiteLab I have said previously, that I believe we might look at another loan if possible. He is under contract with Bayern until the summer of 28 and is perhaps unlikely to earn more elsewhere in Europe. Allows us to develop Gray/Bergvall for example and retain his experience and quality
@HimothyReports I have no issue with selling Romero & definitely Dragusin, whilst I love Danso for character and effort. I question him if we return to the elite level. Stones is excellent, but makes Udogie appear indestructible, also ass Tye Hall to the list of youngsters.
Any link to Savinho will be tainted by past manager links. For me he isn’t the finished article, much like Odebert, Tel and of course Moore, so are we merely stockpiling works in progress?
It’s great to be potentially signing a genuine quality CB in Marcos Senesi, but is he a real first eleven upgrade if we assume Mickey stays? Sure eclipses Davies and Radu, but we ain’t going to play two left footers at CB and if Robertson joins. Mickey isn’t at LB.
@AnthonyAshton1@Lilywhite_Rose@reluctantnicko But we could also argue that he is a free squad player, so cheaper than spending on an established player. We can get more money for Sarr, whilst also offloading Bissouma and cutting wages.
@TheSpursWatch I have always liked the idea of having football men on the board for key football decisions and having someone with genuine Spurs affiliation is perfect. I’m always interested in who people might see as the ideal candidate.
No Spurs fan will want Arsenal to win the title (or the CL), but any sensible fan will always put their own club first and hope WHU lose or draw this weekend to help secure our own Prem status. Tottenham must secure their Prem place and anything else is secondary.
@Marcspurs1468@JBurtTelegraph So you assume he will see next season as a Championship player as a minimum level, despite not quite hitting the heights at Oxford and struggling at Stoke
@Marcspurs1468@JBurtTelegraph I have family and friends who are OUFC regulars and they all seemed to love Lankshear. They also fancied Donley for next season, but feel it’s highly unlikely following their relegation
You assume that either Bayern or PSG can easily rest and manage their player workloads between tomorrow and the CL final making them fresher for the final. Well let’s hope so, anyway…
