Wider means more fragmented. More chains, more pools, more slippage hiding in the margins.

Depth and width are not the same thing.

Three weeks is the real test. But here's what I'm watching before Powell even opens his mouth: what happens to credit spreads and 2-year yields between now and then. If the market's genuinely repricing risk, you'll see it in the real rates first, not in crypto pumps. The BoC admission matters less than what it signals about the data quality their peers are looking at. If the Fed's models have the same blind spots, that's not a pivot. That's a reset.

The BoC move is interesting, but what really matters is what happens at the Fed's next meeting. Markets are pricing in easing, but Powell's been clear the bar is high.
