The purpose of such manipulation is to create a negative image of Ukrainians abroad by artificially associating Ukraine and Ukrainian origin with crime. Such narratives are aimed at discrediting Ukrainians in the Western information space and fueling anti-Ukrainian sentiment.

The Polish-language segment of social media has also seen an increase in anti-Ukrainian videos created using AI technologies, which are actively exploited by russian actors.
