This post concludes my second round of going over 25 years of my work, that felt more like 50. Thank you to everyone that worked alongside me, to those that still do, and to everyone who read through this journey.

The picture on the top left corner was taken in 2024, but the «art» is much older. It was made by some of my colleagues, when part of FCCN worked at the «DII» building.
At the end of the year, I delivered a talk at BSides Lisbon about Internet Hijacks. It was a great conference, and I had a funny moment at the end of my talk, when all microphones vanished from the room and the Q&A had to be done without them.

The last PTNOG meeting was held in 2023 at .PT’s offices. Hopefully there will be subsequent meetings.
I attended my third FIRST Conference in Montreal, and I hope I can attend a fourth, even if it’s not this year in Denver.
My team participated in the Ciber Perseu exercise, which is a Portuguese Army led exercise. It was a good experience. This edition went back to «normal», without masks and a lot less videoconference.

Back to gear, in 2022 while trying to improve the IDS setup we received a (free) flexoptix box, which is a very curious device.
Later in the year I attended a Cisco event at their offices.
The PCI card you can see on the right was decommissioned some years before. It was part of a RIPE TTM box we hosted and was connected to a GPS antenna on top of the building.

2021 was a good year for construction and remodelling works. That was also the case at my job.
A (new) power backup system landed on my desk to support my legacy Linux system.
The workplace didn’t go totally back to normal, but we still held events and invited people to deliver talks.
Most of the work and cooperation was still mainly on Zoom (where i work people prefer to use «Colibri») and Teams.
As my year was spent almost completely in Portugal, and mostly over videoconference, I included a picture from a visit to one of our members.
Despite the lockdown one of my highlights of the year was to be part of the FIRST Conference Program Committee.

As 2020 was an “adaptation” year, I included photos from the TF-CSIRT/FIRST trip to Málaga again.
The optical splitters were an attempt to improve our IDS systems.
I also attended the webcheck tool launch in Lisbon.
Later in the year I went to Rotterdam for another RIPE meeting. I remember the long talk I had with one of the RIPE pioneers, Rudiger Volk.

Over the years I attended several RIPE NCC trainings in Lisbon. The picture is from the 2019 «visit», with trainers Gerardo and Xavier.
Our Jornadas event went for the first time to Azores in 2019, to marvellous Ponta Delgada.
During my summer vacation I found out one of our direct peers was up to some routing shenanigans, and I learned a lot from that.
I also attended C-Days in Coimbra, where a National CSIRT network meeting was also held.
