Over the past two-ish years, I’ve come to the conclusion with roughly 95% certainty (at this point) that the Catholic Church is the fullness of truth and the Church that Jesus Christ Himself founded. This is admittedly, somewhat difficult to say as someone who grew up Protestant. I, along with many was always told that the CC preached a different gospel, or that the Marian dogmas are pagan. It didn’t come immediately, but through watching videos from Catholic Answers, Trent Horn, Keith Nester, watching Pints with Aquinas etc. as well as private conversations in DMs. I couldn’t help but come to the conclusion that there’s much more to the CC than I was previously aware. Consuming content from the previously mentioned creators, along with the Holy Rosary and asking for the intercession of the Saints, my faith has grown in a tangible way. That’s absolutely not to say I haven’t struggled or experienced low points, quite the opposite. I’ve experienced some of the strongest spiritual warfare of my life. I carry no resentment for being misled by my family or pastors in my life. Most people are sadly just uneducated on Church history, so the cycle within families and within the average Protestant church just continues. Please pray for me on this journey. It’s been long and will be longer. But, it has been so worth it
Witnessing the growth of Catholicism and EO does give me hope. People are seeking things much bigger than themselves. It may take 50 years, it may take 100. But I do think things will change. And to give credit to the Protestants. Their firm stand against abortion is admirable. I have tons of love for Protestants, especially the influences of my faith when I was young. Even if a lot of my family opposes my desire to officially become Catholic. “Conservative” politicians may sell out. But faithful Catholics running for office and living their everyday lives alike, will bring the change we need
It’s hard not to blackpill looking at the state of things here across the US and across Europe. My family (all Protestant) are in favor of contraception and IVF, but they do oppose same sex marriage. At the same time, it’s encouraging seeing so many stand up for tradition and morality
@TridentineBrew@MattHeilman7 I’m not defending the position. But, would you say this is to get the votes of moderates or to try and steal a few votes from the left? It could also very well be a fall to modernism and ignoring Church teaching
Today I was talking to my boyfriend about this and he told me that he would have it, that kids with that condition also deserve to have a chance and be loved… I now think we're going to break up..
