@sh1benb That's easy to do within a studio eco-system, it get hard when products come from multiple vendors, a lot of times OSS come out of some specific eco system and will have some kind of legacy stuff around that.

@sh1benb I get the aspect of pride, that's why I have blog dedicated in malayalam. What I was referring is, "pride" is a personal choice for people, we get pride on different things. These days people don't want to spend time for something that's not in immediate benefit.

@sh1benb Git is best example why you need that, average git user themselves don't know what happens inside that directory, someone accidentally messing those file could kill all the git history. You could probably argue something like that should be DB and not file system

@sh1benb Depending on how you use, example user prefs I always use dot files, these are files automatically written out when closing apps, the tricky thing here is I don't want this to be a read-only file, I want this to be writeable by user
