Just an FYI to my limited followers- I've decided to move platforms. I'm most likely going to start an education account over on threads to post my thoughts, learnings and to retweet information and learning from educational leaders. It's been a slice!!
(1/4) We are deeply saddened by what is believed to be a hate-motivated attack at the University of Waterloo, on Wednesday, June 28. Our thoughts and support go to the victims of this hateful, homophobic and transphobic attack, to the entire 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Niagara and
While it is hard to understand this level of hate and violence that has occurred we must speak up to say no to it.
No to 🏳️⚧️ transphobia
No to 🏳️🌈 homophobia
No to misogyny
No to hate

Eid Mubarak! Wishing all who are celebrating a very happy Ed al-Adha.
💡 Eid al-Adha is celebrated for 3 days. It coincides with the end of Hajj, the annual Islamic pilgramage to Mecca. It's celebrated around the world by millions within the Muslim community.
Many students, educators, and school communities across Canada are experiencing hate, rising transphobia & homophobia. We've seen hateful protests at board meetings to drag story times, and increased bullying. This is NOT okay!

As we keep moving forward with the vital work of truth and reconciliation, we continue to honour and celebrate the rich and diverse cultures, voices, experiences, contributions, perspectives, knowledges, histories and achievements of Indigenous peoples – today and always
I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate and celebrate the @dsbn and @niagaracatholic for continuing to fly the Pride flag this year.
Good morning! This is your periodic reminder that my office stands in solidarity and allyship with the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Now more than ever, we need to make sure we are protecting vulnerable members of our community who are under attack.
So so amazing to be able to pop by my old home @MckayPublic for their family Pride celebration with some awesome students, families and educators!! 🌈🏳️🌈☀️thanks so much @lizbonn for all you do to support students, families and community
On this Juneteenth, we remember that throughout our history, efforts to deprive us of our freedom have been routed through efforts to deprive us of knowledge. We lift up the generations who have fought for our freedom to learn, and will not back down from the fight today.

The concept of “bearing witness” as described in Elena Aguilar’s book “Coaching for Equity”. This is an important reminder of the need to listen deeply, bear witness to each other’s experiences and pain, find the connections, and not be pushed to offer solutions.
We’re partnering with @RainbowRailroad to protect LGBTQI+ refugees and to help them find a safe home here in Canada – because everyone should be able to live free from discrimination, persecution, and violence. More here on this announcement: https://t.co/ggKuPGF61C
Perhaps with inclusion, acceptance and safety- today and tomorrow’s youth will have an easier journey along the road to self-acceptance, self-confidence and self-love. Happy Pride month to all beautiful and wondrous 2SLGBTQ+ people as well as all of you who fight so hard for us.
I also celebrate pride to hopefully provide an even safer and/or more welcoming space for those queer and trans youth who will come after me. If youth are able to find community and validation at a young age- imagine the strength, self-assurance and confidence they can cultivate.
I celebrate Pride to get back to teaching myself how to live authentically as me, which has and continues to be a lifelong journey as I grow and move through different spaces. I also celebrate Pride month for those activists and voices who fought harder battles before me.
