In view of the prevailing security situation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and following a careful assessment of the safety environment, Akasa Air has extended the suspension of flights to and from the following destinations:

• Jeddah: Until and including November 10, 2026
• Riyadh: Until and including November 30, 2026

We continue to closely monitor developments and assess the situation in real time.

Passengers affected by these cancellations may opt for a full refund, which will be credited to the original source of payment within seven days, or reschedule their travel at no additional cost. Passengers who have booked through travel partners are requested to contact them directly for assistance.

The safety and well-being of our passengers and crew remain our highest priority.

𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞/𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟑 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝟏𝟕𝟎𝟎 𝐡𝐫𝐬.

➡️ One Indian national tragically lost his life in the attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on 21 October. The Embassy is in touch with his family and is extending all necessary assistance to facilitate the transportation of his mortal remains to India.

➡️ Among the two Indian nationals injured in the Dammam airport attack, one person was discharged on Oct 22 and the other is expected to be discharged today from the hospital.

➡️ One Indian national who was injured in the attack on the Shaybah oil field in Eastern Province was discharged from the hospital on Oct 22.

➡️ Among the Indian nationals injured in the attack on Riyadh Airport on 10 October, two are currently receiving treatment in the ICU, while two others remain in the normal ward. Seven injured Indian nationals have been discharged from the hospital to date. One Indian national had unfortunately lost his life in the attack. His funeral was held in Riyadh on 12 October.

➡️ We thank the Saudi authorities for the medical care provided to the injured.

➡️ The Indian community is urged to take due precautions and abide by Saudi laws especially those relating to not taking or sharing photos or videos of interceptions, impact sites etc.

Our Embassy in Riyadh @IndianEmbRiyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah @CGIJeddah are actively engaging with concerned airlines and tour operators to facilitate the early return of affected pilgrims. Over the past week, about 3,000 stranded Umrah pilgrims have travelled from Saudi Arabia back to India on available flights. This is in addition to more than 10,000 normal Umrah pilgrims who were booked on the available flights and have travelled back to India over the past week. Arrangements are being discussed to facilitate the return of other Umrah pilgrims at the earliest.

Our Embassy and Consulate, with the support from community volunteers are extending all possible welfare assistance. 24×7 Control Rooms have been established to help Indian nationals and regular advisories are being issued.

UNESCO List Adds Three Indian Heritage Sites

Three Indian sites have been added to UNESCO’s World Heritage Tentative List, highlighting the country’s geological and cultural heritage.

The additions are the Karst–Mud-Volcano Complex of Baratang, the Andaman Subduction Volcanoes and the Sirpur Cultural and Archaeological Landscape.

A significant step in showcasing India’s diverse heritage.
