We've raised $4.9M to build @tndminc - The AI system for hardware engineering.
Engineering ambition has outgrown the systems built to carry it. Tandem connects requirements, design intent, CAD changes, reviews, and validation.
The next great machine is waiting on its system.
This is me talking to my computer without making a sound.
After just a month of collecting data, our model is already approaching dictation in accuracy. We were surprised to see that it generalizes to unseen participants as well!

Things I’m waiting for Claude to implement that Tasklet has:
- Write to Google Sheets
- Triggers beyond just time (how about location change? Just need GET/POST)
- two way iMessage texting
- Ability to spin up API endpoints (instead of relying on MCP, e.g Whoop)
Who knows Dario
After seeing Nathan Fielder’s three-hour Elizabeth Holmes documentary with no prep in Telluride tonight, I think I can say it’s one of the best times I can ever remember having in a movie theater. I don’t know if it’ll be as much fun if you know more about it going in than my premiere audience did, but I suspect that even with some foreknowledge, no one will find it a letdown. It’s wild with a capital W (and I and L and D). #telluride #tff53
We're hiring for an associate right now and have an INSANE amount of applications from Columbia. Great unviersity to spend time with if you're hiring for energy/climate VC
Wild story. Chinese mom (in her 60s) and son (30s) duo spend 5 years making 86-minute animated animal film “Niu Lai”.
Budget of $200. Hustle to get theatre distribution. Flops with $1,000 in first week. So bad it’s good. Goes viral.
Now made $4m on $200 and 20,000x return easily tops Paranomal Activity ($193m/$15k = 12,890x) and Blair Witch Project ($248m/$60k=4,133x) for most profitable film box office haul against original production budget ever.
one of the 'woah cool' AI moments I've had...on friday I have claude check granola for all notes from the past week and if there are any lingering action items that I haven't done yet ("ask someone their POV on something"), it'll draft the email or do the task.
