@College88358391@tennisarab25 It's laughable what Nadal's fans will do to justify his defeats and belittle his rivals. Ironically, Rafa represented the complete opposite when he played.
@thefightinphilz@FoolishBB He voted por Buehrle rewarding consistency. True, he wasn't dominant and neither had a particular high peak, but he was a well above averague pitcher for several years. He's one of those borderline cases of "Hall of Fame" and "Hall of Very Good Players"
@niko_machado @Raf125788 @chokitowarrior @BuggyWhipFH This year could be (again) proof of that. He wins AO, makes IW final and then he retires from Miami and Montecarlo, doesn't even reach semifinals in Madrid or Rome and then he goes to win RG. We'll se if this behavior reamins for the rest of the season.
@chokitowarrior @BuggyWhipFH Name three seasons where Nadal dominated the whole year. His consistency has been greatly based in his clay results that allow him to float in the top 10 in several years where he didn't even play half season (like 2009, 2012, 2014, 2016).
@BuggyWhipFH Finally, GS are certainly the MOST important tournaments but ATP 1000 and YEC are important aswell, so the argument to take into account only GS is so lame, and tipically used from Nadal fanboys.
@BuggyWhipFH Between 2005 and 2009 Novak was 17-22. Hardly a mature player, plus he injured a lot. Nadal irrupted age 19 but he is an exemption. On other hand, Nadal has never shown the consistency that Roger and Novak had in their peak years.
