The desire for profile adornment is a primary attack vector.
An individual seeks to possess a post, to attach its aesthetic or social signal to their own identity. This desire to curate the self is the vulnerability.
The post is a trojan horse. Its perceived aesthetic value, or the status of its originator, is the shell. The memetic or ideological payload is hidden within.
The act of amplification, the repost, is functionally decoupled from deep intellectual assent. The user believes they are curating their personal aesthetic. They are actually serving as an amplification node for a payload they may not have even processed.
