Here are some historical takes on the book of Job. It is a marvelous piece of literature. It wrestles with "Why do the righteous suffer?". It's pretty heavy, but it makes me love God more.
"Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love he had for her.” Genesis 29:20
The value of the beloved made the price seem small.
Is it not so with Christ’s return?
"Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven.” Matthew 5:11-12
Not all criticisms of Christ’s people are lamentable failures on their part.
“Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness.” —2 Timothy 2:23–25
Was listening to LOTR ST & the thought hit me: Peter Jackson can you just make The Lord of the Rings again. Just reboot it. We will all go again. I swear. 4/5 times to each film again. Retweet this. 100K retweets will convince him! 😂 #peterjackson#LOTR b/c what else is there?
"They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:31
Full of the Spirit.
Fired with boldness.
Overflowing with truth.
Do you think your sin is unforgivable?
Peter offered forgiveness to those who murdered the Son of God.
“You killed the Author of life... Repent, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out.” Acts 3:15, 19
Don’t exalt your sin above the power of Jesus’ blood.

This morning, I'm writing a talk titled, "How can you say there's only one truth faith?"
The claim that Christianity is universally true - regardless of culture, time, or place - is as offensive today as it was 2000 years ago.
But the alternative isn't humble. It's incoherent.
All right, folks. Today is the day. I'm going to make a final push to finish Stormlight Four. I want to have the book done by the new year, so the family is on board for me spending the next ten to twelve hours writing. I'll post updates to let you know how it's going!
Presents are the best way to show someone how much you care. It's like this tangible thing that you can point to and say, "Hey, man, I love you this many dollars worth." - Michael Scott
