Excellent ten-part @radionz episodes on #splitenz#enzology
Treasure trove of compelling interviews, demos, & live footage.
If you’re looking for a deep dive, this is the one to take! Fascinating.

After fighting heroically for almost three years, Rob is now free of pain - ‘a glimmer of tiny light in the wilderness’. He died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. The family asks that anyone wanting to honour Rob donate to @Pankind_Aus or @SupportAct.
The payout to artists has always been miniscule, but now the ethics extend to where the big $$ may go. Worth a closer look #spotify https://t.co/mozVFRK4KC @midnightxrebels
@SoundsFamiliarB Paddleboat. But the whole album is solid. Probably his strongest one in recent years. If it wasn’t for the fact that the album cycle these days is so short, it would still be getting plenty of attention (on that, thx for posting this!)
@jenngrantmusic your Lying on a Beach is an instant classic. @joelplaskett your songs deserve it.
‘If I don’t jump ship right now I’ll never figure out how to fly.’
@batcountry1980@mikemovies I thought it was well done as more an impression of a biopic of Dylan…rather than a true reflection of his character. I agree, it was sanitised. But I also found the performances of the actors quite moving. Knowing Dylan had quite a lot to do w/ the script made a difference too
@RaveDrool Great songs from top to bottom.
Saw them on tour with the Rheostatics in ‘97/‘98. First time I really appreciated how powerful a two piece can be.
@somefinnspecial Sending love to you and yours. 🙏I’m sure music will play an important role as you grieve & process all of the ‘other’ moving parts. Take care
@torontomike There was an interview where you hilariously described a psylocibin trip in New York. Jim quipped, ‘see, this is why we’ll never get the order of Canada.’ How has your relationship to psychedelics & other drugs changed over time?
@SoundsFamiliarB Love the count in of Paul Hester’s (presume it was him) yawps just before the drums, chunky bass and guitar begin. ‘There’s closets in my head, where dirty things are kept…’
Still sounds great today
