Some cool things we've done lately:
- a complete audit and weeding of our collection to better match our values
- flattened hierarchies in decision making
- revise our noise and food policy to better embody our anti-racist values
- student led finals week programming

A few weeks ago I met a teenage non-binary patient in the hospital. When I introduced myself with he/they pronouns, they started crying. We talked for over an hour (the joy of being a student!). I took three things away from the visit

@EamonTewell I have ABSOLUTELY done reference interviews in casual conversations when talking with loved ones about something they are passionate about that I know very little
