Attitude and effort are variables I can control.

The universe doesn’t care what I’ve been through nor does it care that it’s 20 degrees out.

However, the universe does care what “A game” I bring to it each day. It cases what energy I put out, and what actions I do to sculpt the opportunities that are in front of me.

I had a hard VO2 workout today and I smashed it. The old me would have put it off to a different day. But who I am today NEEDS to feel that I am in control of my future with my daily actions.

The cold air on my lungs made it so much harder to breathe, but I welcomed the challenge by visualizing building new super cells in my body that out perform my best ever ones from the past.

The dull pain in my muscles that came from the frigid air I replaced with a high cadence and 430w to cook them into a burn. With that fire I visualized myself riding away from the best in each one of my efforts.

I won my ride today and sit here now, this evening, I am savoring the momentum I created from my efforts today.

Each day I’m not out there searching, I am creating.

I am blessed with days like today that I do have the opportunity to work hard to become better.

With that, you will never again see me bring anything less than my best to my attitude and with my effort no matter how difficult the conditions or situation may be.
