I’m sorry I couldn’t properly lead to this beautiful tribute the @CollegeGameDay put together. Really wanted to thank all of you for the avalanche of love and support you’ve shown Ben. It gives me and my family such comfort knowing how he impacted so many peoples lives around the country. He was a beautiful and loving soul.

🚨 JD VANCE ON GROWING UP IN A HOUSEHOLD WITH ADDICTION:
THEO VON: "Do you have any advice for young people who have parents who struggle with alcoholism or addiction?"
JD VANCE: "Take this for what it's worth, but if you're a kid and you're in an environment that has a lot of addiction, you have to make sure you're taken care of.
Don't get yourself into a situation where your parents are struggling and now you're struggling too. You cant help them out if you're also struggling.
Number two, don't get resentful, and try to keep your heart as open as possible.
You have to compartmentalize.
There's the addict version of your parents but there's also a good version who read you a book or took you to a movie. If you allow you to get totally resentful, it doesn't just affect them, it affects you too.
Don't let your parent's addiction become something that destroys you as well.
Try even going to the AA or NA meetings with your parents. You'll learn more about their addiction. These meetings are real life. It's human nature in all of its splendor, its virtue, and its vice."
Wow -- this is so emblematic of JD's life experience. This is the clip that sums it all up. It shows the struggle and wisdom he gained from a tougher upbringing.
.@PlanetTyrus: Nelson Mandela was trying to come to the United States. You chartered a plane for the entire trip. Why is hard for you to talk about the things you've done?
PRESIDENT TRUMP: I love doing it. I don't need praise for it. I just like helping people. I help a lot of people. I enjoy doing it. It's not a narrative the press likes to talk about.
