If a “pastor,” “reverend,” or “minister” denies:

• The virgin birth of Jesus
• The Bible as the authoritative
Word of God
• Marriage between one man &
one woman
• God’s design of humanity as
male and female
• Jesus as the only way to the Father
• The crucifixion and bodily
resurrection of Jesus

Then they are denying foundational truths of historic Christianity. That is not a leader you should sit under or allow to shape your theology.

And, if someone who claims to represent Christ rejects the very truths at the heart of the Gospel, there is serious reason to question whether they truly know Christ themselves.

Don’t trust spiritual leaders who refuse to trust God’s Word.

Pray for your pastor. Tonight and every night.

He’s preparing to preach tomorrow while carrying burdens you may never know about.

He’s counseling hurting people.

He’s praying for prodigals.

He’s dealing with conflict.

He’s fighting his own sin.

He’s trying to lead his family well.

He’s carrying the weight of souls entrusted to his care.

And tomorrow, he’ll stand before you and open the Word of God—not because he has everything figured out, but because God’s Word is sufficient.

Your pastor needs your prayers.

Pray for his holiness.

Pray for his family.

Pray for his courage.

Pray for his preaching.

Pray that God would protect him from discouragement, pride, temptation, and burnout.

And when you see your pastor tomorrow, don’t just tell him, “Good sermon.”

Tell him:

“Pastor, I’m praying for you.”

Then actually do it.

There's plenty of people willing to disciple your kids for you.

Kids can either be discipled by celebs, ideologies, and politics, or they can be discipled by you, the Gospel, and the church. Choose the latter.

Don't subcontract your child's discipleship out to the world.

On this Election Day, Christians, be encouraged by these truths:

1. This is not the “most important election of your lifetime”. Your election in Christ is.

2. Whatever happens today, it won’t catch God by surprise. Whoever wins is only because of God’s providential plan.

3. Our ultimate calling is to be an ambassador for Christ. Don’t let your rhetoric over a preferred political candidate ruin your witness for Jesus.

4. Trust in the Lord. No matter how bad this world gets, it’s as close to Hell as you’ll ever be, because Heaven is your home.
