@Gins99Jake The little assignments we did in class that made us answer questions as to how we were feeling were helpful. They made me step back a little and breathe and think how am I actually feeling? They were a good way to let out some stress and thoughts.
@Gins99Jake I think creative projects like this one are always fun and entertaining to look at. It interesting to see how everyone uses their creativity.
That composition was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I never had to do such a long presentation before. This was new to me, but looking back at it, I am glad I did things the way I did.
The presentation was good, but I barely passed the needed time. I still spoke too fast, but I still got a good grade. Always work on your biggest flaw continuously to make it better.
My topic was on food wastage. I started with the basics ( who, what, why, etc.) and then went into the more scientific side of things. The audience should be give some general knowledge so they better understand when you talk about more complex things.
My best advice for future students is to start small and simple and then eventually branch out. Starting with too many pictures, ideas, or stats can overload someone.
I put a lot of time into practicing what to say and when. It took quite a lot of revising and speaking to myself to figure out the best method. If I did not practice, I would have been a mess.
I got my idea of a simple ppt from Tedtalks. Often times, they have something in the background to go along with what they are talking, but it usually is very simple and to the point.
I wrote reminders in the notes section so I would not forget. My main focus was hitting the time limit and not speaking to fast which I tend to do when I am nervous.
We had to have a powerpoint in the background and no notecards, so I focused on making my ppt short and concise but with keywords so I knew what to say.
BBG 102 asks us to reflect on a previous composition in this semester or in the past. I wil be discussing my presentation I had in comp a couple years ago.
