Mark, it’s disappointing to see you parroting the teachers unions’ misleading talking points about school choice. Let’s set the record straight.

First, my legislation creates scholarships funded by private donations, without taking a dime from public schools. Not one dollar is diverted from Arizona’s existing public-school funding. The claim that this program defunds Arizona schools is flatly false.

Second, these scholarships benefit children in public and private schools. Governors from Texas to Colorado to New York have opted in, including Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul, because they realize this program will unleash billions of dollars to kids across their states.

If Arizona refuses to participate, Arizona taxpayers can still claim the federal tax credit by contributing to eligible scholarship organizations in other states. Arizona taxpayers will help educate kids in Texas, New York, and Colorado while Arizona kids are denied the same opportunity.

I’d encourage you to spend less time repeating teachers union talking points and more time reading what the law actually says.

We saw during COVID what happens when politicians put the demands of teachers unions ahead of the needs of children. Arizona kids deserve better.

I checked, and it's true: Nixon's Jacksonville store, "Cafe Resistance," has a wall of 12 Black Power figures. According to the Washington Free Beacon, four of them were convicted of killing police officers

One of them is Assata Shakur, convicted of m*rdering New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in 1973. She broke out of prison and fled to Cuba, and the FBI put her on its Most Wanted Terrorists list

Nixon has closed campaign speeches, including one in a church, by quoting Shakur and calling her "a famous freedom fighter"

When she was confronted over the wall, Nixon said "a lot of them were set up" and asked, "What's wrong with me having that up there?"

Spent the afternoon driving @Publix to Publix clearing each location out of their buy one get one specials on dog food. I was able to fill an entire SUV packed full of dog food for the dogs in Escambia County, FL that are in need of dog food.

I also picked up some cat food.

I like to think of myself as an expert in dog food, so I was happy to deliver over 200 bags of dog food to the shelter today which will be given to People in need after the hurricane this week who need pet food.

There’s still so many people without power and internet and a lot of destruction.

Publix has a great buy one get one free deal on some dog food right now so I was able to get so much more dog food than I originally thought I’d get!

I plan on going back when they restock as well.
