When Kobe Bryant said his insane level of confidence came from knowing he done all he could to prepare, it taught me that anytime I'm nervous it means I didn't prepare enough.
Perhaps the best BP session I've ever seen from Cubs Nico Hoerner happened today. Flawless, repeatable mechanics while depositing many balls well over the wall. His final round delivered 4 HR in 5 swings, totaling 6 or 7 that round alone (each similarly around 410-420 ft.)
Trout's back foot doesn't turn towards the pitcher. If that's natural for a hitter to do that's great! BUT there are 3 things that are a must if they don't fully rotate their foot...Check out the full post on our FB page to find out what those are!

Mookie Betts - Contact Position Voiceover
- Drill to replicate this: Feel out where you WANT to be at contact. Barrel, hands and body. (not just bat, many forget this)

This is Pure Gold. I had the pleasure of spending time with Coach Holtz. I wanted to hear him explain his Three Rules for Life! 1) Do what’s right - trust. 2) Do everything to the best of your ability- commitment. 3) Show people you care - love. It’s pretty simple. If you leave, you still have the problem, you are changing the address. These are words to live by.
Tom Brady explains his mental edge and why practice (not gameday) creates separation.
"There was a part of me that was a psychopath out there. I was extremely hypercompetitive every day. I didn't feel like let's get to Sunday and now it's the time...Every day is the time to give your best, even in practice."
Every day your standards are either reinforced or lowered by how you treat practice.

But his combination of impact ability and hit tool is evident in his underlying data.
The Yankees prospect had a 111.1 mph max EV and an impressive 16% chase rate.
UCLA head coach John Savage on Roch Cholowsky:
“He completely took charge of guys careers. He got the third baseman better. He got the left fielder better. He got the pitchers better.” ⬇️
