This year, make it easy on yourself.

Most farmers don’t realize how much manual acreage reporting is actually costing them.
Small inaccuracies add up, especially when they impact your premiums year after year.
The question is… are your reported acres truly accurate?

Chad had a great time representing MyAgData at the U.S. Farm Report College Roadshow live taping at Oklahoma State University, connecting with students, faculty, and leaders driving ag innovation and shaping the future of agriculture.
Shoutout to Tyne Morgan for hosting such an incredible event and bringing these important conversations to a national stage. Chad also had the chance to spend some time with Luke, one of our summer interns starting later this month.
Moments like this are a great reminder of why we do what we do, supporting farmers, advancing data, and helping agriculture move forward.

To close out our Throwback Thursday series highlighting MyAgData team members and their farming roots, here are a few words from our CEO, Michelle Tressel.
Some people find their way into agriculture. I came from it.
I grew up in Manitoba, Canada — the granddaughter of farmers on both sides. My mom's family crossed from Ireland in 1796 and put seeds in the ground from the moment they arrived. My dad's family came from England in the late 1800s and did the same. Farming wasn't a career choice for them. It was just life.
My parents owned and operated a welding company that served growers right out in the field. Neither of them graduated high school — but they built a business, served their community, and taught me everything that mattered.
I graduated in a class of 11 kids. Anyone who has grown up in a small town knows — when farmers thrive, everyone thrives.
I eventually left for university in the United States and never left. I'm an immigrant here, just as my ancestors were when they arrived with nothing but a willingness to work the land.
Life took me through healthcare and financial services — but agriculture — fighting for growers across the United States as CEO of MyAgData — that's home.
Roots run deep. Mine run straight into the ground. 🌱

Catherine Clower's Farming Roots 🌽🚜
Some stories start with dirt under your pink boots and the smell of fresh hay in the morning air.
Catherine's starts in Slanesville, West Virginia.
Her family has farmed that land since the late 1800s — starting before her great-grandfather, her grandfather, her dad. By the time Catherine came along, farming wasn't something the family did. It was something they were.
She grew up running the farm with her dad and grandma, raising cattle and show stock, producing square bales for horse buyers from Virginia to Tennessee. She loved every critter she could get her hands on — and she got her hands on plenty, including one that came with a court fine. One of her most treasured memories is bidding on her first calf at the Winchester Livestock Exchange. She named her Jenny, bottle-fed her, and that one little calf went on to produce many offspring for the family herd.
4-H and FFA became her world. She showed livestock from county to nationals and earned her National FFA American Degree in 2016.
Knowing she wanted to study agriculture, Catherine headed to Illinois — playing collegiate volleyball and competing on the livestock judging team before transferring to Purdue University where she studied Animal Sciences and Ag business, continued on the livestock judging team, and was a proud member of Sigma Alpha Professional Agriculture sorority. Every summer, no matter what, she went straight back home to the farm, helping her younger brother into the role of carrying it forward.
Today, Catherine serves American growers as Director of Marketing and Sales at MyAgData. The office looks different than the hay field — but the mission feels exactly the same.
The farm made her. And it always will.
Less time on reporting means more time where it matters most.
With MyAgData, growers are simplifying their reporting and getting valuable time back during the busiest parts of the season.

Chad Greenlee’s Farming Roots 🌽🚜
@chadjg currently serves MyAgData as Channel Manager, working with partners to make FSA-approved electronic acreage reporting a reality for the growers we serve. Chad comes from a multigenerational farming family with deep roots in production agriculture. Their operation focused on both row crops and produce, supported by hands-on irrigation management that was critical to maintaining consistent yields. Like many family farms, it was a true family effort.
On one side of his family, his ancestors were among the early settlers of the town where he was raised. They raised livestock and grew a number of crops, but were predominantly cotton farmers who helped establish both the local agricultural economy and the broader community. Agriculture remains an important part of his family today, with relatives still actively involved in farming and the cattle business. While Chad's career path pulled him into the precision ag space, he's able to lend a helping hand whenever there's a need.
Agricultural leadership and youth development have been central to Chad’s journey. He was highly active in FFA, where he held multiple leadership roles, offices, and exhibited cattle. He later spent seven years fitting cattle at national shows and sales across the country. Today, he continues to support agriculture and ag sales through his ongoing connection with his alma mater, Oklahoma State University.
Chad and his wife have both built their careers in agriculture and have three sons who share that same passion. Their sons are and have been actively involved in FFA and 4-H, taking on leadership roles, supporting camps and leadership programs, held offices, and continuing to stay engaged through alumni activities in both organizations.
Chad entered the precision agriculture space in the early 2000s and has spent more than two decades supporting producers and ag businesses through technology. His connection to MyAgData dates back to 2006, when he first met the team that would go on to found the company in 2012.
Over the years, Chad has worked closely with growers in a variety of roles, experiences that ultimately prepared him for what he considers the most rewarding chapter of his career, serving farmers in the capacity he's in at MyAgData.

Riley Schaefer’s Farming Roots 🌾🚜
Riley has been with MyAgData for five months as a Client Services Specialist. He grew up on his family’s farm and ranch in small town Des Lacs, ND, where his family has been farming and ranching for four generations. His grandfather and great-grandfather started the operation in the 60’s. In the 80’s, his grandparents took over, expanded the cow herd, and continued farming. Today, his grandpa works with his dad, who manages the cow herd and roughly 3,000 acres of cropland.
Riley has been helping out at the farm since he was little, going from running gates to running the equipment. He was active in 4-H and FFA in his early high school days and spent his summers helping plant, running cows, and showing livestock at junior livestock shows.
After high school, Riley attended NDSU, earning a degree in Precision Agriculture with a minor in Water Resources. Throughout college, he frequently returned home to help during harvest in the fall and during calving season in the spring.
His interest in ag technology led him to MyAgData, where he sees the work being done as the next step forward in the ag tech world. In May, Riley plans to move back home for good to once again be a part of his family’s operation.
Riley credits the farm for shaping who he is today and wouldn’t have it any other way.
