It’s hilarious that all that actor’s fans blocked me when I didn’t say anything about him or the event, literally nothing 😭 Are they just mass-blocking Eunwoo fans preemptively so no one can call them out while they spin the story like his agency? Lmao
Cha Eunwoo was honored with the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation in 2024 in recognition of his contributions to Korean culture through music, acting and his impact on global audiences.
the first idol actress and the first idol actor to appear in gallup korea’s actor of the year ranking. you have no idea how loved and validated they are by the gp
the w korea event is just another reminder that these people aren’t “unaware” — they’re willfully ignorant. i don’t care if it’s your faves, idols, actors, models — they’re all the same. rich, detached, and obsessed with image.
they only show up when there’s a camera, a brand deal, or a paycheck.
don’t call it “lack of awareness,” call it what it is: apathy. they have access to every resource, every platform, every ounce of influence — and they still choose silence. they don’t care about breast cancer, they don’t care about palestine, they don’t care about fascism, they care about staying marketable.
people who work 9–5s, raise kids, barely have time to rest — even they understand how serious these issues are. but these millionaires with PR teams and stylists can’t be bothered to think beyond the next photoshoot.
they live in a fantasy where performative empathy passes as activism. pink lights and luxury gowns don’t “raise awareness” — they erase the reality of people actually fighting and dying. it’s insulting.
and stop with the excuses. “they didn’t know,” “they’re just artists,” “they’re human” — no. they know. they just don’t care until their career’s on the line. the only time they speak up is when they’re trying to save face.
@melwascharmed i have genuine hate for this fandom even tho I have spent most of my teenage years being part of this but some stans have crazy entitlement towards them and the fact that they did not care to stop no matter what happened. Sometimes I felt like I was part of some crazy ass cult
from my perspective as someone who was an aroha for five years, and is now just a eunwoo fan
i discovered eunwoo through gangnam beauty in 2018, and honestly, that was the best thing that ever happened to me. the company, however, is absolutely terrible. they have treated eunwoo like some kind of tool to promote the group, while completely ignoring his own individual projects, unlike what they do for the others. the members genuinely love eunwoo, and we all love them too, but the group fandom is a complete nightmare, the most toxic and exhausting place you could ever imagine being in. i know it because i lived it, and no one can ever come to me with excuses or fake explanations to justify that behavior.
when i first joined the fandom, everyone made you feel guilty just for liking eunwoo as an actor. you were forced to love everyone equally, as if it were some kind of sacred rule, and god forbid you ever showed a little more admiration for eunwoo, even though he was literally the reason most of us joined the fandom in the first place. every time someone attacked him, we were told to stay quiet because aroha was a “peaceful” fandom. but that supposed peace only existed when it came to eunwoo, because the moment another member was criticized, suddenly everyone turned into warriors ready to fight.
every time eunwoo got a new project, aroha, especially the korean side, would go out of their way to sabotage him. they would complain endlessly, to the point where eunwoo himself would feel guilty for having individual success. but if another member got a solo opportunity, then everyone had to support it without question, because “they needed to become more known.” they boycotted his dramas. they were the ones who started all the hate campaigns against rookie historian goo haeryung, just because they wanted an astro comeback. they did the same with true beauty, going so far as to protest that suho’s character would ruin eunwoo’s reputation because it was “misogynistic.” when he appeared as the lead in the japanese ost, they tore him apart, and later it came out that the other members were the ones who refused to appear, leaving eunwoo and a single actress alone in the mv.
when eunwoo got his own fan club, which even kept the same name as the group fandom, the attacks got even worse. and then, to top it all off, they had the audacity to blame him for his best friend’s death. it was disgusting. every time eunwoo released an ost, they would not donate a single cent. even when we had enough money to give everyone melon accounts so they could download his songs, they refused to volunteer. dozens of accounts just sat there unused. there was money, there were resources, but there was never any real support.
and the worst part is that they never have a genuine compliment for him. they constantly shade him, compare him to other members, and talk badly about him as if it were their favorite hobby. they make him feel guilty even during his own fansigns, where he should be happy and appreciated. they never support his award votes, especially when it comes to acting, which actually matters for his career. instead, they waste their time and energy on ad votes that do nothing, just because those are the ones they like. they have the energy to vote for the group and for other members, but when it comes to eunwoo, they suddenly become lazy queens who can’t lift a finger. they criticize eunwoo’s fans, they criticize eunwoo for being successful, but in reality, they don’t even do anything for the group either. and somehow, the only one who ever gets criticized, blamed, and dragged through the mud is always him.
and i will not even begin to talk about his solo album, because that was the most heartbreaking betrayal and the most shameless act of abandonment he has ever suffered. it was the moment that proved, once and for all, how cruel and hypocritical that fandom really is
Netanyahu keeps affirming Israel will never allow a Palestinian state which reveals a central truth of the last two years: Israel has never been at war with Hamas it has always been at war with the Palestinian people. Western media shame themselves for not making this clear
They wanted to break her will so that she would speak about what she suffered and became the story herself, losing credibility in the eyes of the victims .Yet she emerged with greater awareness, commitment and determination .
I’m sorry, but I need to say this.
It’s deeply upsetting that so few people are talking about the Palestinian detainees who are occasionally released by Israel. This is a photo of one of them, released just five days ago after being held for months.
These individuals have endured unimaginable conditions. Many lost family members while detained. Some only learned upon their release that their loved ones had been killed.
Why aren’t their stories followed closely? Why aren’t their names, faces, and voices being shared?
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with amplifying the abduction and release of activists, whether they’re detained for hours or days. But why does that same energy vanish when it comes to Palestinians?
We know the answer. Their arrests, abuse, and even deaths have been normalized to the point of invisibility. Even when we do share their stories, they barely gain traction.
It’s heartbreaking and frustrating to see so many, including large accounts that built followings through Gaza advocacy, remain silent on this. You’re missing the point.
