A lack of sleep can cause mood swings, anxiety and fatigue. It is important to have good sleep routines.
Are consistent routines in place?
Is the bedroom a quiet and calming space to sleep in?
Are sugary drinks and snacks avoided before bedtime?
Make a plan - Change will come.
Lovely to see our Stage 2 students helping in the garden and completing pyrography plaques for the guinea pig hutch in readiness for our open day on Thursday 9 July.
SATS Week 2026. Bloc and all the team here want to say, we are so proud of you, educators and students, not just for this week and the effort you will all put in but for all the weeks before and after this where you work so hard and give your best.

One of our Stage 3 students has been preparing her own slides as part of her Science work to look at under a light microscope, to see the detail in a leaf, a petal, even onion skin. Science isn’t just about big discoveries; it’s about curiosity and learning to truly see.🔬✨
Wonderful news to share that further to one of our Stage 1 students attending an interview last week, he has received an offer to study A Levels in French, Maths and Politics at Worcester Sixth Form College. 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Priority this term has been on entering students for Functional Skills qualifications (Maths and English). We have 3 students taking EL3 Maths and 1 student taking Level 1 reading. We are proud that we have our very first student sitting both Level 2 reading and writing.
Sweet treats were the order of the day as we said "Goodbye" to Charlie in Stage 3 as he is moving on to his next destination after the Easter holidays.
From frisbee throwing to cheesecake making, flower arranging to Lego and candle making; these are just some of the activities we offer our students at Stage 2. Our main focus in Stage 2 is helping our young people to build confidence whilst supporting their overall well-being.
Some beautiful art work created by Taryn in Stage 3 inspired by the poem 'In Flanders Fields' by Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae on May 3, 1915, after burying a friend. The poem inspired the adoption of the red poppy as an international symbol of remembrance.
Mother's Day will soon be upon us (Sunday 15 March) and so students in Stage 2 have been busy today making some beautiful bouquets and displays for important people in their lives.
Every student we work with benefits greatly from the whole team around them. Team work certainly makes the dream work at Pathways. Learning to work with and build trust with other professionals is a key component to the work that we do.
It was wonderful this morning to see the hard work that the students put in at the beginning of November is now starting to show as we welcome the first signs of Spring at Oak farm. A reminder that with time, effort and teamwork, great things grow. 💐💐💐
In a recent Pathways questionnaire, parents commented on: Highly supportive, passionate, and committed staff;
individualised approaches; non-judgmental, inclusive environment; strong communication and meaningful feedback resulting in a positive impact on family well-being. 🌟
