I think the next 2D golden age -> 3D rendered revolution is going to be achieved in the form of multimodality. As one example, I’ve been training a model to synthetically simulate synesthesia, and it has been revolutionary for not only design (“intuitive” matching colors to sound) but for accessibility as well. I’d love to see more builds that achieve creativity through cross sensual modality!
