It is not a question of what you possess, but a question of whether you are feeding your ego with it. What you have and what you do not have can both equally enhance the ego. What you have attained and what you have renounced can both boost the ego.

Saints have more subtle walls, the walls of their egos. You can break down walls of mud and stone within half an hour, but breaking down the walls of the ego takes many lives. They take hold of you in a very subtle manner.

The ego cannot be destroyed directly. The man who gets involved in destroying the ego directly is making a mistake. The ego will become subtle, slide into the unconscious and hide inside. He will stop seeing its ways from the outside, and its roots will enter within. It will get hold of his whole soul, it will start to grip his whole soul…

Search inside, and you will not find any “I” there. No matter how much you search, you cannot find any “I” there. There is no shadow. There is no activity. There is no relationship with anyone. There is no sun through which a shadow can be formed. You come out of the house and a shadow is formed. You go into the house and the shadow disappears…

When the shadow, the “I” disappears, what you perceive is the truth. It is your self-nature, it is your authentic being, your ultimate being, your soul…

There is a very famous and great book of Martin Buber: I and Thou. Martin Buber says the experience of prayer is an I-thou experience. He is right. The experience of prayer is an I-thou experience: God is the thou; you remain the I and you have a dialogue, a communion with the thou.

But Buddhism
has no prayer in it,
and Buddhism
goes higher.

Buddhism says even if there is an I-thou relationship, you remain divided; you remain separate. You can shout at each other, but there will be no communion.

The communion happens only when the I-thou division is no longer there, when subject and object disappear, where there is no I and no thou, no seeker and no sought, when there is unity, unison…

Iran: UAE Opens Vaults and Pushes Deals Under Chinese Guardianship

During coalition strikes on Iran launched from American bases in the region, and the subsequent Iranian retaliation against Gulf states, the United Arab Emirates initiated a severe, sweeping crackdown on Iranian citizens and institutions. Residence visas held by Iranians who had lived in the country for decades were cancelled en masse, and harsh financial restrictions were imposed. 

This strategy hit those outside the country particularly hard: Iranian citizens traveling for business or tourism were barred from re-entering the Emirates, even being prevented from collecting their personal belongings.

Even the coveted Golden Visas, the 10-year residency permits granted to buyers of high-value luxury properties, were unilaterally cancelled without prior notice.

Furthermore, the government suspended operations for all entities linked to Iran and froze the accounts of hundreds of Iranian individuals and companies.

Iranians were barred from transferring funds or registering new real estate. According to Tehran, the Emirati government confiscated or blocked the equivalent of $530 billion in total assets belonging to Iranian citizens and companies.
Independent sources, however, put the figure closer to $350 billion, still a staggering sum.

As Iran intensified attacks on the Emirates and maintained its closure of the Strait, Abu Dhabi moved to de-escalate. The economic damage was simply too deep to ignore.

In May, the total value of real estate transactions plunged 42% compared to April. The volume of units sold dropped 19% in a single month. In the second quarter of 2026, the overall value of transactions recorded a 45% decline year-on-year.

Reports from Knight Frank confirmed that the number of homes changing hands in June fell 16.4% annually.
To offload completed properties on the secondary market, frightened owners and some developers began offering steep discounts relative to pre-war prices, hoping to attract buyers willing to take the risk. 

What risk? The risk of Iranian missiles pointed directly at their windows from across the Strait.

The toll on oil exports, tourism, and airlines has already climbed into the tens of billions. 

Consequently, the Emirates opened talks with representatives from the Tehran government, stitching together an agreement aimed at releasing $20 billion that had been frozen for years in Emirati banks under international sanctions.

China acted as the guarantor of the entire agenda, leveraging its close partnership with both nations.
