Published a preprint on brain stimulation interactions with memory and eye movement in individuals with epilepsy. Incredibly fortunate to continue this research. Grateful to participants & Dr. Duncan @duncanlabUofT and supervisor @DrValiante @neuron2brain https://t.co/y7VuGXCX1x
Very excited to see all great efforts of @Sam_Cheung_ and her conference team and posters across faculty @uoftengineering!
Panels today as well and great schedule throughout the day and tomorrow as well!
Registration still available for @UTERC2020 at : https://t.co/CEf2Y03qfE
Honoured to work with @EsBukuroshi on different teams over the last 4 years on @gecos_uoft. Although, I will be sad to see her leave I can't wait to see all she will accomplish in the future. She tirelessly advocates for students @uoftengineering, and is an inspiration to us all!
Always wanted to learn about what makes humans unique. I am privileged to work and learn from people out of @neuron2brain@KrembilRI@bme_uoft every day and always ask questions. This work on insight into visual responses in memory structures is 1st step hopefully of many more!
@gecos_uoft is happy to support this great initiative. Exciting workshop leading up to conference this Wednesday at noon. @Sam_Cheung_ and her team have done incredible. Priveleged to meet with her, Daniel Pepler, Esmeralda Bukuroshi and GECoS weekly to enhance student community
.@UofTEngineeringβs first-ever faculty-wide research conference is organized by members of the Graduate Engineering Council of Students as well as #UofT faculty. https://t.co/JRAeYV4L3Y
Thank you to all the amazing tremendous volunteers. Humbled by the amazing community support to mask as many as possible and help together in these uncertain times. Also not possible without collaborators such as @mykingandbay, sewingforchange mask4covid, and sewForTo.#Masks4All
A shoutout to all our amazing Hub Coordinators who have been dedicating countless hours distributing mask kits and collecting masks from hundreds of sewists across the city! #ItTakesAVillage#Masks4All#Mission2Mask#Stitch4Corona
@GecosUoft is happy to support student initiatives across faculty. Lucky to be part of such a great group of student leaders who contribute to building and supporting student community. Thank you @Sam_Cheung_@UTERC2020@uoftengineering for making this possible!
Thanks @UofTEngDean@audeluj and Karam from @GecosUoft for facilitating a great town hall. Close to 150 attendees and I personally learned a lot and appreciate the efforts @uoftengineering and at @UofT are doing on behalf of our student community!
Had a great #townhall with @uoftengineering grad students today. Thanks to @audeluj and #GECOS for setting up. Lots of good questions and thoughts about the effect of the pandemic on all aspects of graduate school.
Any graduate engineering student, this is great opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of what is going on in our community!
Hope to see you there
@BryanGlezerson@Kramayp @C_R_A_N_I_A @DrValiante @neuron2brain @MilosRPopovic Always happy to chat, research efforts are definitely attributed to the team but excited to connect when you are in town!
Lucky to be part of initiatives on efforts in community and research. Take a look at @Kramayp preprint on humans ability to voluntary control even a single neuron and exciting implications for future work in neuromodulation @C_R_A_N_I_A @DrValiante @neuron2brain @MilosRPopovic
The human brain has more than 80 billion neurons. In our latest pre-print, we show, for the first time, that we can learn to control the activity a single neuron in brain regions involved in memory function, and commonly involved in generating seizures - https://t.co/x03mhEKNpT
@Stitch4Corona is continuously working to help those in need.
Very special to see so many initiatives to help during this crisis.

@picardonhealth@Stitch4Corona, a community of volunteers, has been working for a few weeks now on getting homemade masks to those that need it.
We can all work together, even remotely! Stay safe
#Masks4All
Canada's chief medical officer @CPHO_Canada says given changing knowledge on how #coronavirus is spread, Canadians are now being urged to wear "non-medical" masks but says "it doesn't mean you can back off on #PhysicalDistancing and hand hygiene" #COVID19#Masks4All
Most importantly thank you to the close to 300 volunteers who have signed up to sew. We are continually working on expanding materials and kits. Every mask helps!
