Anyone promoting purpose-built seed phrase plates and/or purpose-built hardware wallets that can’t be built from scratch with generic hardware is at least one of the following:
1: naive
2: paid off
3: awful at OPSEC
Been in Bitcoin since 2018. Self custody is hard.
StratumV1 is like a cancer on a blockchain. I encourage everyone to disavow SV1 pools of any kind. Build with DATUM, SV2, P2Pool, literally anything else, please.
See, here you’re being dishonest again. I deleted my post because people were still reposting it, and I didn’t want potentially false claims to continue spreading. When I was confronted about deleting it, I apologized and explained my behavior.
@_PyBlock_, instead, keeps lying, redirecting, and deflecting rather than honestly explaining themselves.
You’ve been doing this for months whenever someone suggests improving your pool’s decentralization. Rather than address the criticism directly, you turn the discussion into accusations about the people raising it, including slander and claims about their character.
If you want to be welcome on the BLAKE2b chain, you can’t immediately recreate one of the central problems that caused us to fork in the first place and then attack or misrepresent the people who point it out.
The hard fork was, in major part, a response to the “lazy miner” problem: miners outsourcing block construction to centralized Sv1 pool operators, allowing a small number of pools to gain enormous influence over what gets mined. The goal was to move away from that model and toward miners havining full control over their own block templates as one of the primary principles.
So when an Sv1 pool joins the new chain, quickly gains a large share of the hashrate, refuses to address concerns about that centralization, and instead responds with deflection, deception, and attacks on the character of its critics, it sets exactly the precedent many of us were trying to escape.
Just tell us honestly: why are you continuing to use Sv1 pooling and refusing to implement DATUM support, unlike the other pools on this chain that actually acknowledge the decentralization problems that contributed to the fork and are working to fix it?
I will be recommending against using @_PyBlock_ until they own up to making up lies about @SpectrGen and commit to being honest and transparent moving forward
This is an extremely easy bar to clear
They just need to say "we're sorry we called SpectrGen a liar. He is not a liar"
But it seems they are doubling down on their dishonesty
This is bullshit artistry and it should not fly in the bitcoin community
This is the exact type of behavior that gets a free pass on the core chain, and it's the reason that chain is such a shitshow
If you can't be scrupulous about the small things, no one should trust you to be scrupulous about the big things
@btc_boomers "picking up my marbles & getting back in there" aka: becoming a victim to the inevitable UTXO debasement conducted by government-regulated Antpool and Foundry & friends, is an insult to everything honest nodes have dealt with the past 3 years.
Break on through to the other side.

@pete_rizzo_ I don't care what exchanges call it, it's bitcoin
If we eventually have to call it something else to avoid confusion, I'm fine with that, but changing the name doesn't change the essence
The soul of bitcoin lives on in the blake2b network
@_Knotzi I prefer to mine to obtain Bitcoin for the foreseeable future.

The Bitcoin Renaissance is here.
But I agree with your sentiment 100% :)
@88_sats It was openly discussed amongst the devs and all technical arguments were taken into account. Emotional REEing was ignored. It the end it was decided to make the block size reduction temporary so it can be raised again if needed without a hard fork.
Who's the big blocker now?
@maitreyabtc The miner is your board.
Hashpower -> paddle.
Blocks -> waves.
You don’t control when the next wave comes.
You just keep paddling until you catch one.
Most people want to surf the biggest wave.
The Chainboarder (node) looks for the break where his board actually matters.
