@reichswanderer@marcelthegrey then there's orihime's trauma but it's not rsally explored. there's some depth if you look for it, same with other characters. but the other characters are also very flat. it's pretty much just getting stronger, fighting, and so on. the power scaling is inconsistent too.
@reichswanderer@marcelthegrey they go back and forth on this like when he first learns his zangetsu's name and when he fights grimmjoww, etc. i guess he eventually accepts that aspect of himself? but generally it's not a very interesting development and it's not really fleshed out.
a lot of the "new" things people are complaining about have been present in numerous rockstar games since like gta sa. carjacking? chinatown wars. limited loadout? max payne. relationships? gta sa. exercise? gta sa. and the list goes on and on and on. just one big nothingburger
Immersion in video games has gone too far. Making you feel involved in the story is good, but all this ridiculous minutia is just unhealthy. Imagine spending hours of your life working out, eating right, getting outside, playing sports, going on dates, but it’s all just a video game. You turn it off and none of that is yours. Why not just spend those hours actually doing it, and you’re better for it? GTA is about crime. It’s about doing things you actually cannot do without destroying your life. This just sounds like a chore.
