@GrammarTable@offhandmanor1 To me they are different materials. Splinter is wood. Sliver is glass or metal (although glass could also be shard) and sticker is a thorn or barbed seed.

@ziptieshibari I've daily-driven an older vehicle in Los Angeles for my whole driving life. It is not a bad idea, it is totally doable, but you will want to keep up on maintenance. The hardest part is dealing with other drivers, who have no idea how to drive around a classic car.
