VIDEO | Flamboyant Indian opener Abhishek Sharma’s impact at the top is comparable to Chris Gayle in his prime, says former Sri Lanka cricketer Chamara Kapugedera, who believes the left-hander has been central to India’s T20 success over the past year.

“India’s success over the last one year has largely depended on Abhishek Sharma. The way he has batted during this period has been phenomenal. I haven’t seen anyone do that except Chris Gayle when we were starting out. I don’t think anyone can replace Abhishek Sharma in the Indian team at the moment,” he said.
