AKPABIO, ABBAS TO SHARE N14BILLION FOR CARS, REMI TINUBU GETS THE CONTRACT
At a time minimum wage remains at N30k per month, with high cost of living for Nigerians, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, would share a whopping N14Billion to buy bulletproof cars.
While Akpabio pockets N7billion for his cars, Abbas goes home with N7billion. Akpabio would have cars in Abuja, Lagos and Akwa Ibom and Abbas would have his in Abuja, Kaduna and Lagos.
Each Senator and Representative would get a Landcruiser for N250million and a Prado for N200million respectively.
Mrs. Remi Tinubu is alleged to have collected the contract to supply the cars.
An angry Senator revealed that the mark up became so high because Mrs. Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, Akpabio and Abbas would share the excesses of the inflated budget for the cars.
The Senator said this is why Akpabio, Abbas, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, some few Senators, Mrs. Tinubu and Gbajabiamila, all connived to inflate and padded the 2022 Supplementary Appropriation Act with not less than N200billion.
An insider at the National Assembly said Akpabio has been running a one man show since he emerged Senate President, treating Senators with disdain and disrespect. He said Senators would soon move against the Senate President
