Following the arrest, Police recovered 73 sachets of crystal meth, one teaspoon, five cigarette lighters, one digital scale, 18 unused surgical blades, a plastic bag containing loose dagga, five bulbs and another bulb with burnt crystal meth residue. #notocrime

As we remember Josiah Tongogara, a national hero par excellence, it is important that we have more action on the ground and less rhetorical posturing. There are various measures which Gvt should and must take to honour the legacy of such heroes instead of these empty statements each year.

As we speak the road to his homestead, from Gamwa turn-off coming from Shurugwi-Mhandamabwe is not even tarred! Of which that homestead could be a tourist attraction if packaged correctly. Gvt should improve the place which also has the graves of his father and mother.

The President, in his personal capacity has done much, but it's the responsibility of the Gvt! I speak as someone who is familiar with family having been with them in Zambia and my father coming from the same village with them.

There is absolutely nothing in the area that speaks to the eminence of the hero who came from there. I had to personally donate a 5kva solar and StarLink to the Gamwa Clinic because it had nothing.

This scenario is characteristic for many other national heroes like Nikita Mangena whose wife died like a pauper with nothing! The people from these people's villages are not amused by all these once-a-year statements meant to varnish something preposterous.

Instead of making empty trips to the Heroes Acre go back to these heroes' villages and make improvements there. Otherwise the trips become a mockery because men like Tongogara made a difference. People from their villages are not happy.
