Thousands of students from different colleges of Punjab were unable to take up their final exam today because of deadlock between Joint Action Committee & State Govt.

The former is protesting against the state government’s malafide, illogical & arbitrary decision to keep private Universities out of the preview of centralised admissions & imposing it on Govt , Aided & Unaided colleges only.

I urge the Punjab CM not to adopt this discriminatory & dual policy. Either all the colleges & universities should do admissions through centralised portal or all of them should be allowed to do admissions at their own. A level playing field is must for all.

For collection of data, the govt can ask the management of all colleges/ universities to upload their admissions details on State Govt portal after the admission process is over.

@CHARANJITCHANNI Sir, 1925 posts are of Assistant Professors only. some colleges are not regularising them even after 5-6 years although probation was of 3 years. still they are working on 21600/-. Govt has reduced grant to 75% from 95% .. Either make grant 95% or ask colleges to regularise them.
