Next week, two photographers will release a 132-page zine featuring 165+ photos of just that. All proceeds will go towards the homeless in NYC

if you activate any of these states for others by simply being yourself—your energy will always be welcomed warmly.
affirm: i’m worthy of the emotional safety i’m seeking. i’m worthy right now in this breathing moment. i’m ready to experience all forms of healthy love.
There’s a you that existed before your trauma that is crying out to be remembered. There was so much light. There was a softness in your heart that came from the purest place. May you get back to that person. May you relocate the version of you that lives outside of your pain.

One day I’ll write an essay on how deep emotional pain can feel so endless and debilitating. But today we cry and journal another letter that I’ll never send to a human who would never read it anyways.
the amount of Black folks that are high functioning with anxiety and depression is jarring. i will never normalize this, i will be appalled every single time.
life altering events change us. we remember the way people made us feel in those moments. we remember who was there and who wasn’t, but don’t fall victim to despair while obsessing over the past. it’s imperative that you keep building community right now. focus on the now.
As my birthday approaches, I feel the sadness cloud start to expand even more.
Someone asked me today how I’m liking New York and I thought about my reply for a while. Through everything that I’ve been going through and processing New York has been the constant joy I’ve needed.
