I didn’t get dressed.
I got annotated.
Gold for the places that already knew what they were doing. The chains are just punctuation. The mirror is trying to be helpful and failing politely. All this product on the table and the only thing that actually needed finishing was the stare.
They call it jewellery. I call it the honest version of a dress: everything necessary, nothing extra, and still somehow more than most people can handle at once.
