If you’ve been missing @QuickPickBot or @GamblyBot — or feel like the sports betting bot experience on X has gotten worse after the recent changes — now’s your chance to speak up.
Reply to this thread with your story or opinion: what you used QuickPickBot for, why it mattered to you, or how things feel worse now. The more voices we have, the better we can show X leadership the real impact of limiting the community to just one bot.
Thanks for being part of this community. We appreciate every one of you. 💙
Today, X disabled my company Gambly’s ability to auto-reply to mentions from our @GamblyBot account–a capability now exclusive to a paying partner.
We launched GamblyBot in January. Using AI to “read” text and images, we built one-click betslips that have sent well over 5 million bets to sportsbooks in a matter of months.
Bettors clearly love GamblyBot.
Soon after our launch, @pikkitsports shipped a competing bot (that was also disabled today). I have great respect for @pranavtad and their team; what they built is hard, and they did many things well that really pushed us.
X is advertised as the “marketplace of ideas,” which it is in many ways. But in this case, when the creators, the innovators, of an idea are no longer allowed to operate–when that marketplace of ideas is no longer free and limits who can participate–it’s the users who suffer; choices shrink, innovation slows, value moves elsewhere.
Markets work when winners survive based on merit–not artificial paywalls.
We’re still here on X; creators will keep posting Gambly one-click betslips, and you’ll still see us in replies. The only thing that’s changed is we can’t auto-reply when mentioned, for now.
Having had a short heads-up that we’d be getting restricted, the team worked quickly and already has alternative options in place. In addition to being in 500+ Discords, we also launched text/iMessage support in a matter of days.
This is the sort of adaptability and nimbleness on which we pride ourselves, and I’m excited to be part of a team that will continue to pioneer not only text- and image-to-betslip technology, but AI-driven sports betting tools as a whole.
We’ll continue building for bettors, wherever they are, with an eye on open competition.
I’m hopeful X eventually leans back into that spirit.

A week before the last SuperBowl we released @GamblyBot on X and immediately saw massive traction. It was an innovative solution to a problem many bettors share. The bot is right at the core philosophy of @gambly - removing friction from the betting process. We've sent millions of betslips through this bot across platforms.
Along the way @pikkitsports released a solid competitor and it made us double down on our bot efforts. Today X cut both of us off - turns out my old company Better Collective/Action Network was negotiating an exclusive deal with them. We never even got a proposal or a chance to bid against them.
The exclusivity is very disappointing but also temporary. I'm sure we'll be back up, especially as X realizes that competition will yield a better service for their users.
In the meantime you can access @GamblyBot in a variety of ways, just check the pin post for details.
We will keep on innovating - there are dozens of fun projects on the roadmap. Definitely check out the iMessage integration we just released and "Voice to Betslip" through Siri.
The most important phone number in sports betting is now (305) 857-2288.
That's the number for @GamblyBot text/iMessage, which lets you send screenshots, text, and voice commands to generate one-click betslips.
