@jaubin1969 @eleanor_mueller FMLA isn’t necessarily “paid”. The bill proposes for the time to be paid. While I was able to use FMLA with my accrued leave (so it was paid) to take care of my dying mother, once my leave ran out I had to start taking leave without pay.

@USATODAY It’s been 8 months and I’m still mourning. At least it’s a start, but 3 days isn’t enough. I’m thankful I’m a state employee and was able to use 2 of the 3 allowed days of bereavement leave for my hospital stay. Also, I hope the other parent is included.

I received a sample of Similac baby formula in the mail today. I don’t even know how to cancel it so I don’t receive anymore. It reminds me of when I use to save the daily WhatToExpect emails. Now I’m saving the daily grief emails. I miss my baby. Life shouldn’t be this hard.
