i love this detail, though im not sure if its just my interpretation or if the director intended it this way.

young Ye Li was played by a child actress instead of #BaiLu while Mo Xiuyao was still played by #ChengLei. so we can clearly sense the age difference between them. Mo Xiuyao was already a grown man when he first met Ye Li, while Ye Li was still a child. it makes sense that she would develop a sense of admiration for him, whether it was respect, gratitude, or simply the impression of being saved by a cool and capable adult. and then, eight years later, they meet again on their wedding day. 💗🫠
