•Proper nutrition (limit sugar)
•Limit absences from school
•Limit screen time (social media, video games, TV)
•30+ min of daily exercise
•Emotional Availability (someone to talk to)
•Challenges (an opportunity to fail)
everyone should be given a library card at birth and it's valid for any library in the country and there are no late fees and there are rewards for people who have read the most.
Reading aloud doesn't teach kids to love reading. It teaches them to love books, stories, learning things, the intimacy of being read to...all that is wonderful, but it's not a love of *reading*.
If you want children to love reading, you have to teach them how to do it well.
