This could end up something ridiculous like 114-1

[Dan @chandler_d04]

@Alex_Berwick @TheArsenalDan Completely agree with this. Saying the rules are for sustainability is a joke when teams carrying £1B in debt and still outspend most.

Sporting merit must come in to it, allow good performing clubs to be able to progress, whilst not letting clubs buy there way out of trouble

Missing dog in Tamworth, please look out if you are in the area.

[Dan @chandler_d04]

There was some standout performances today for #avfc apart from the obvious ones
Mings was terrific in our box and his leadership - you could hear him above the home groans.
Ruggeri second half was 100% better than the first
Gomes got through so much work too.
Really encouraging

As Aston Villa manager, Unai Emery has managed 5 Premier League matches away at Tottenham. He has won 4 of them. That's more league victories at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium than the most recent 3 Spurs managers combined - 3. (Emery's Villa also won there in FA Cup game last season)

[New York Giants @Giants]

We want to be in the room where it happens!

Sunday's halftime show is a special performance from Broadway's @HamiltonMusical, featuring alumni cast members and a special collaboration with @MorganStateU's Magnificent Marching Machine, @PSUBlueBand, and drummer Jaheim Lee.

[Dan @chandler_d04]

@Unofficial_Phil @Alex_Berwick Fair point. I was just thinking if Madjo was cheaper we could then leave out say Alysson as well and have enough room for THB as that’s the biggest concern.

[Dan @chandler_d04]

I’m assuming Grealish and Leao would only both come through the door at #avfc if Martinez is sold. The funds and wages saved from EMI would then pave the way for Jack as an extra attacker.

Would be happy with that, and Goretzka. Only concern is the CB replacement….

Man Utd, West Ham and Leicester the definition of coupon busters today!

[Dan @chandler_d04]

#avfc love a free signing don’t we! If Goretzka performs as well as Kamara, Tielemans and Lindelof have it could be great business. May be on higher wages but we receive fee from FIFA from Onana wages, and as he won’t be in UEFA squad list this can offset his wage instead no?

[Dan @chandler_d04]

@AM15_Szn @lukefrxst Surely we are getting that from FIFA for Onana this year so it would be a no brainer! Could be a great signing

[Dan @chandler_d04]

@myoldmansaid Bailey?

[Paddy Power @paddypower]

Villa and Newcastle having to sell their best players this summer.

Those financial rules really starting to pay off...

18+ GambleAware

[Dan @chandler_d04]

@Reece20050 Brahim Diaz would be great, however I don’t think Jackson is ever the answer - especially as a Watkins replacement now.
Watkins work off the ball in our system gets overlooked, but his goal contributions are consistently at a level above Jackson too

[Dan @chandler_d04]

Really happy with how #avfc are approaching this window. Still think after AWB we need a CM and 1/2 attacking players after Bailey, Guessand and I think Tammy will go.
Martinez situation may affect our ability to do that financially if he doesn’t go now though

[Dan @chandler_d04]

Really encouraged by that performance. Cannot wait for the season now. Once the missing players and new signings feature I think we can do well. There’s more to come from Madjo, Hemmings and Alysson! #avfc

[Dan @chandler_d04]

@bcvillian1 @c4nn1ngz Have you even considered that this is more an Emery and sport science department decision rather than the players?

I didn’t see anyone complaining that McGinn was given 4 weeks off? Or Lindelof?

[Dan @chandler_d04]

@bcvillian1 @c4nn1ngz So with your logic - anyone who does a job sat at a desk doesn’t need to take all their holiday leave each year as it’s not physically taxing?
The fact he didn’t play is pointless. He spends all season prioritising club & then away with his country. Let him spend it how HE wants
