Siva Kandukuri essays the lead role with finesse, while Krishna Kamal, who plays his friend, looks like an actor to watch out for. Jeevan and Venkatesh Maha play important roles.

The film comes from producer Raj Kandukuri, who backed acclaimed films like #PelliChoopulu and #MentalMadilo, introducing directors Tharun Bhaskar and Vivek Athreya respectively.

Debutant director Sainath Ponna directs this one.

This is the same critic who once body-shamed Nayanthara in his Ghajini review, writing, “an annoying, overweight Nayantara, whose rolls of fat appear to be doing a Mexican Wave across her waist.”

This is also the same person who joked about the Epstein files when an actor was genuinely trying to have a serious conversation.

So when he throws in lines like “Blood is on display as frequently as a Telugu cinema heroine,” I don’t find it clever. It comes across as yet another cheap stereotype at the expense of an entire industry.

Criticize the film all you want. But reducing Telugu cinema to recurring punchlines feels lazy, especially when every industry, including Tamil cinema, has its own clichés and shortcomings.
