Update: this is to inform you all that the campaign that started exactly one week ago to raise money to pay the court fines and “damages” slapped on @SpireJim has raised UGX 41,640,000. 30M has already been used to pay the fine and damages awarded to KIU. I guess it’s okay for Spire to hold onto the balance and see what the costs of the application will be when determined. Now, I saw my usual detractors calling me all sorts of things just because I agreed with people who suggested the fundraising continues but I won’t stop people from contributing if they want to continue contributing. It’s not like we are lacking problems to put money to. The problem would be if I was lying that we have not reached the target we set out on or if I wasn’t reporting the amounts collected. But where I say we have this much and people still want to contribute as their way of protesting this injustice or showing their solidarity with Spire as in shown in some of these examples, I won’t stop them. I thank you all🙏🙏
