@chungchingkwong It comes from ignorance and, as I understand it, the government wants to ban bamboo scaffolding. Reporters are being fed a story that sounds plausible, because bamboo is flammable, and they run with it. Plastic netting and poor safety standards are the likely cause. @BBCNews
