FUHS has an article in the EdCal, The ACSA paper. https://t.co/WCIb8Nxsfi Michael Despars and his kids did a great job of connecting with the kids at Orangethorpe!
Thanks for all your support!
I have to say this might be the most rewarding part of being an educator. Learning about a whole new world from our students. This is a nat’l VR tournament on Echo Arena @OutrunDigital@principalberg @fjuhsd_scambray
@miseducAsian A5: I'm proud when I see others lead, thrive, share, and grow and it just keeps going like some have said that it's regenerative. The virtuous cycle #miseducAsian
@Ms_CandyLee@miseducAsian Yes. Why do we continue to perpetuate listening and acting on the loud voices? Let's get closer to those whispering or wait for those who are processing.
@miseducAsian A4b: I also honor my identity by using leadership that is intentional about inclusion of people and ideas other than my own to explore and experiment with #miseducAsian
@miseducAsian A4: It applies to what we want to see out of our kids in the classroom. We don't just want compliance, we want provide students opportunities to think on their own. As a leader, I'm always trying to figure out how to move our schools in that direction. #miseducAsian
@miseducAsian A3: The narrative I provide myself to feel better is that I wouldn't want to work for someone with limited beliefs of leadership. It drives me to build and encourage leadership, however it looks, in others around me #miseducAsian
@miseducAsian Q2: My former coworker Dr. Neumann always encouraged me and lifted me up. I hope I do the same to those around me. All the friends I met through @ACSA_info and @ACSARegion15 have given me confidence as a school leader as well #miseducAsian
Be dedicated to what you do & what you plan to do in the future. Setting goals isn’t just for players, as a coach you should have goals too. Daily, weekly, monthly, & yearly goals are needed. Continue to nurture your players growth & development, also remember to grow yourself.
At our next #ACSA AAPI Networking Event, we are focusing on the South Asian/Middle Eastern POC. Admittedly, I know very little about their lived experiences & want to learn more. Join me & featured guest Castro Valley USD Superintendent Parvin Ahmadi. https://t.co/lksmAT4oZa
Why ACSA? Because you can become empowered by being connected to something bigger, said Dr. Kim Lu Lawe, Director of Eastvale STEM Academy. Well said, @kimlulawe. We are honored to be part of your leadership journey!

Make sure to use language that target the team as a whole, “We”, “Us”, “Our”. Get your players to buy into a family culture, to push each other, hold one another accountable, be able to rely on each other.
“We Before Me”
“We Will Succeed”
“Family vs Team”
