Video shows forest fires burning around a freight train in rural Canada, with the crew fearing the flames could reach them as bright orange flames surrounded the stranded train outside Armstrong, Ontario, late Tuesday. “This could potentially overtake us here, this has gotten a little scary,” one crew member told the operator as the wildfire moved closer to the locomotive. “Y’all need to hurry up here. Seriously. We’re encased in flames.”
BREAKING: President Trump said the newly restored Reflecting Pool would last "50 to 100 years" before needing major work.
Less than a week later, the sealant was reportedly peeling, algae turned the water green, and federal crews were called in for emergency cleanup on a project that cost roughly $15 million.
That's an expensive way to end up back where you started.
Hey @ATT, my neighborhood internet outage in 90036 is now entering Day 14. I understand repairs take time, but going two weeks without internet and with no estimated restoration date has been a major inconvenience. Any update?
According to the civil complaint, the man put in writing his willingness to plant evidence against drug suspects. Plural. As in, more than once. Is there a person alive who thinks that if the jury had been aware of those statements, that jury would not have believed it was reasonably possible that Proctor assisted in the planting of taillight pieces that he and his supervisor (who have him rave reviews) found after it "revealed itself" over the course of 2 weeks? Would the jury find Proctor's testimony that he was not "looking for nudes" even less credible if it had been aware that he and Goode discussed the improper sharing of nude photos? We'll live praise for Hitler, mocking Anne Frank, embracing rape, shocking degrees of racism and other misogyny out of this.
I don’t care what side of the Karen Read case you’re on. Read these messages for yourself.
This isn’t about politics. It isn’t about personalities. It’s about the fact that people entrusted with investigating crimes and putting people in prison were allegedly sending messages filled with racism, sexism, antisemitism, and comments about violence for years.
The same people who decide who to believe, who to investigate, who to charge, and who to testify against.
Nobody should be comfortable with that. Not if you’re pro-Karen, anti-Karen, or somewhere in the middle.
Public trust in law enforcement depends on the belief that investigations are conducted fairly and without bias. Messages like these destroy that trust.
That’s the real issue. Not the language itself, but what it says about the mindset of the people behind the badge.
If you after reading this still defend the actions of these officers, you are the problem! These people need to be sanitized from society! This is beyond gross!

@Massholemafia et al are trying to convince themselves that Proctor didn’t talk about planting coke. Here’s an audio recording of him talking about planting coke. “Plant a bag of coke on him.”
A lot of shocking, appalling and disgraceful texts and messages were revealed today. But to lawyers who understand how this all works, this is the most significant and damning: the man has it in his mind to plant evidence and frame people. Nothing will ever change that.
