【Chinese PLAN Task Group Liaoning Completes Combat-Oriented Far-Sea Training】
On the morning of June 22, the Chinese PLAN Task Group Liaoning returned to the home port of Qingdao after successfully completing the combat-oriented far-sea training.
During the more-than-40-day training mission, the formation headed for the sea and airspace of the South China Sea and the Western Pacific to conduct exercises for extensive operational application verification, which effectively enhanced the task group's capability of fulfilling the missions and tasks. In a designated area of the Western Pacific, the formation Liaoning held joint exercises with the amphibious assault ship formation. Through the carefully planned systems integration training, both further honed combat effectiveness in coordinated far-sea operations between the formations.
