I found some beautiful Moira Rose gifs to accompany my “X is too soulless for me, peace out” tweet, but they still won’t post after 5 attempts & ~20 mins. Which is definitely on brand for this site, so at least there’s that.
I heard a rustling sound as I approached the front door and the part of me that’s still a Florida girl assumed it was a snake even though it was more likely one of the 87 stray cats in our neighborhood
What's this nonsense about students not needing books? My students each check out an average of 33 books per year. Almost one a week. Some children get a new book EVERY DAY. How else are they supposed to read? (They have steadfastly refused digital books.)
Ohno I thought Good Omens 2 was releasing week by week. It all dropped today and I can’t binge until this darn summer school class is done. I also can’t resist binging if I start
I’m dogsitting and I keep hearing faint sounds of activity in the house. It’s almost as if two timelines are occurring at once but not quite meeting one another. So, just a heads up that I’m about to be dragged into either a horror film or the multiverse
i do not have patience for the belief that art shouldn’t be political. are you not alive? are you not dying? is the planet not in crisis? do you think your enemies care how beautifully subtle you can be? or that your so-called allies care about the ‘longevity’ of your work?
The course I’m required to take for my degree path and is only offered in the summer is actually making me work and I’m mad about. Like, yes, technically I have more time to the work but I certainly don’t have the motivation
Okay, after spinning my wheels for a few hours, I’m not actually mad about doing work for this class
I have plenty of intelligent things to say about these books, but I can’t figure out how to fit them into the restrictive questions we’re supposed to answer
