@_TallGuyTycoon XRP or RLUSD haha. Ripple is also trying to buy circle which indicates the importance of stablecoins for transactions. XRP the token may be left in the dust.
@JobryaLLC@beyond_broke Right but at very very fractional amounts. At mass scale sure this will help limit supply, but not at these crazy price targets floating around like 1k , 10k etc. The moonshot prices assume XRP will be the token used not just XRP just as a burn mechanism.
@beyond_broke Then you still use RLUSD? Lol. RLUSD can be redeemed 1:1 for USD or USDC—why would XRP be needed as a bridge? RLUSD already handles liquidity and settlement on its own.
@beyond_broke As a liquidity bridge asset you are saying. Yes agreed but this use case is irreverent if RLUSD is the token of choice. You don’t need liquidity if XRP when you have RLUSD.
@DocLogicDO @beyond_broke Right I think we’re on the same page haha. These ridiculous price targets are mostly unfounded and all hype. I’m a investor/holder myself but it’s hard to see these insane targets when the promoters don’t understand the mechanics or other factors at play
@beyond_broke Another big assumption with this is that XRP is the token of choice used on Ripplenet. Banks have yet to confirm this is the case especially if stablecoins like RLUSD are available
@RippleXrpie@patrickbetdavid This assumes that XRP will be the sole token of transfer and not other stablecoins like RLUSD. If the later, price of XRP will not reflect these moon shot prices like 1K
@RowenExchange The non usd use case has more legs as not all foreign countries/banks may have the pairings with usd based stablecoins. However, if these transactions are daily it doesn’t make sense to use XRP and stablecoin pairings will be created/used long term.
@RowenExchange Hear you on this but I don’t see fully understand the use case to convert RLUSD to XRP and then send cross border. Speed to transact in RLUSD or XRP on XRPL is the same and this defeats the purpose of using a stable coin there would still be price fluctuations.
@RowenExchange My only concern with these price targets is they assume XRP will be the token of choice vs stablecoins or RLUSD. If it’s the later these price targets go way down and XRP will only be used as a burn mechanism for transactions in XRPL
@_TallGuyTycoon The use case makes sense XRPL will be the transport network but what token will banks use to send? It will not be XRP, rather it will be stablecoins or RLUSD. Can you explain the price targets with the later in mind?
@0xASK How does this impact the price of XRP the token though? I understand XRP will be burned for every transaction but its fractional. I suppose at this scale it makes XRP deflationary. I struggle with investing in XRP when really XRPL is the bread winner.
