Society treats pregnant women like queens for 9 months, then suddenly expects them to become “fit”, “normal” and camera-ready in weeks.
A woman literally creates life, survives childbirth, sleepless nights, hormonal crashes and mental pressure, but people still sit online saying “ab moti lag rahi hai”. That says more about society than the woman.
Postpartum depression is real.
Emotional breakdowns are real.
Body changes are real.
But India still jokes about it like it’s gossip instead of understanding basic humanity. Women gain weight after childbirth and suddenly everyone becomes a fitness expert.
Respect mothers beyond Mother’s Day posts. Healing is not a race. And women do not owe anyone a “perfect body” after bringing a human into this world.
