I hate the “WFH is depressing” talk. What’s actually depressing is 2 unpaid hours of commuting every day, getting home already exhausted, and having 4 hours left for cooking, sleeping, and getting ready to do it all again.
I’ve launched The Missing Links Foundation, a CIC helping young people build confidence, skills and progression pathways through creative media & mentorship.
We’re currently piloting programmes in alternative provision with support from partners including @linkuptv

@FearedBuck It’s always “Black Women are afraid/embarrassed to wear their hair” and not “Black Women started straightening their hair and wearing weaves because white america said they couldn’t work or go to school because their hair is unprofessional” This is still going on today.
@crazyclipsonly These comments are wild.. 🥴😒 if you think that is OKAY you’re bugging… the lack of common sense is a scrambles, there’s a fucking bench! Sit on it with the baby on your lap at least 🤦🏽♀️ priorities, priorities…
Men can be jealous of you, by the way. And you won’t even realize it. You’ve enhanced your life You’ve done something impressive? You’re succeeding? And that’s when he decides to ruin your day/make you feel insecure & miserable/tear you down? It was never a coincidence.
6. Our society glorifies self sacrifice and self betrayal: how often do we hear "she put everyone else before herself" as if this is a noble act. What we don't see is how this can lead to depression, addiction, etc.
2. Boundaries create generosity: when we have clear limits and prioritize our own needs, we can actually meet the needs of others. The more fulfilled our own needs are, the more we can fulfill the needs of others.
